Youth and Community Projects

  • Not everyone is enthusiastic about climbing mountains to show there physical strength and courage, being pushed physically is not the only way to discover hidden skills.

Human strength can take many forms, everyone loves the movies, we all love the action hero and the action, and we would all love to be the hero.

There is a desire in all of us to shine and be “THE STAR”.

We have created a new youth development initiative that has moved completely away from the ‘induced’ tried and tested youth activities.

We use the action hero in all of us as an inspirational platform to go places.

No abseiling, no canoeing, and not a five-a-side football pitch in sight, we cheat and use the mind, by introducing them to a ‘make- believe’ world where we can make the rules.

The power is never abused, but completely channeled to take them on journey with us.

We understand that projects as this one need to put ticks in many boxes, we are very aware of this.  We have now proven that this three and five day event with statistical back up not only works, but works well.

Working with local media to encourage local pride activity and to promote the borough both inside and out.

  • Community Identity:

Developing cross-service partnerships in order to access funding for local cultural activity, our last project was funded by Essex Police.

  • Learning:

Identifying talented performers and providing the opportunity for those individuals to develop their skills and abilities.

  • Education:

To work with children and young people to improve their understanding of social responsibility and anti-social behaviour.

  • Early Intervention:

Working with children and young people who may be at risk of engaging in anti-social behaviour, or are perpetrators of minor anti-social behaviour, to prevent the development of criminal careers.

Channelling the energy of young perpetrators or potential perpetrators of anti-social behaviour into more constructive activities.

Teaching the young people the consequences of their behaviour, the need to work cooperatively with others, improving self esteem and confidence.

We are sensitive to the variants in organizing and mediating with you to put the right message across through the media.  The young persons that come on the course are not just the bad children.  We do not like this term and feel the benefits for the course are directed towards a number of comparables.  Social exclusion and low self-esteem are powerful motives for anti-social behaviour.  We pride our self on breaking down barriers and building confidence.

  • The projects are run over three or five days, working with stunt performers, actors and directors, to produce a movie.
